“ 2024 review: Yum. Yum. Yum. The Green Bowl is easily one of the best in Brisbane—fresh, balanced, and full of flavour. Highly recommend. My friend enjoyed their burrito, and our coffees were nice, though my long black was a little bitter and weak for my taste. Shout-out to the young waitress who served us—she was lovely, attentive, and made the experience feel warm. We really enjoyed our time and knew we’d be back. 2025 review: Returned for another visit and wasn’t disappointed. The burrito and shakshouka were a hit—both rich and satisfying. The coffee this time was beautiful. I tried the pumpkin waffle, which leans sweet. Not sure if the flavour combo fully lands, but our waiter mentioned it’s a crowd favourite. I swapped the bacon for halloumi which was a personal win. Customer service was okay—staff were a bit quiet and less engaging than last time, but still polite. Overall, a consistently great spot for brunch with creative dishes and a solid coffee game. Definitely worth visiting more than once. ”

“ I cannot recommend King Arthur Cafe enough — it’s an absolute gem tucked away with the perfect mix of charm, flavor, and friendliness! From the moment we walked in, my black lab puppy (appropriately named Arthur) was treated like royalty. The staff were so welcoming, bringing him a fresh bowl of water and showering him with attention — he was in heaven! The outdoor seating is dog-friendly and full of good vibes — Arthur and I both made a few new friends while I relaxed and soaked in the morning sun. It’s clear the team at King Arthur Cafe cares about community, quality, and creating a warm, welcoming space for everyone (two-legged and four-legged guests alike). Arthur gives it two enthusiastic tail wags, and I’ll definitely be back for more. This place is a real treasure! ”

“ Busy and popular place for Sunday breakfast. They have tables upstairs, downstairs, and outside. Food comes out fast. I wasn't a fan of the coffee. I couldn't tell if it was too strong or bitter, but I didn't finish it. It was just not nice. The food is good, with a lot of flavour. Interesting options here on the flavours they use and what they offer for breakfast. Very friendly staff. ”

“ My colleague and I are the worst kind of Melbourne coffee snobs. Kidding of course, but we do love coffee and find it difficult to get a great one while in Brisbane, well, not any more! The coffee here may just be the best I’ve had. Not just in Brisbane, but anywhere. I now know that I’ll be booking a hotel nearby for my next business trip to Brisbane just so I can get my morning coffee here. The place itself is super cool too. “ Cute and funky little cafe just around the corner from James street. I love how it was quiet but the personality of the place speaks volumes through the great customer service and interior design. The hot chocolate I ordered was perfect and I could sit here for hours as it had the most welcoming and relaxing vibe. I didn’t order any food this time around but will 100% be back to try it as the cafe smelt amazing due to the food being served. ”
